Community Mending and Upcycle meets monthly to share knowledge and other resources for improving things that might otherwise go to waste. We recognize that repairing or upcycling is economical, environmentally responsible, and it increases accessibility. When we meet, we try to include a Feature Focus - a demonstration from someone who has a particular skill that they’re willing to share. Then, as we move on to our own work, participants often circulate to talk about individual projects. Sometimes group discussions emerge and we come up with more ideas for how to grow this group by engaging with people of all ages and backgrounds.
