New Class Offering!
This one-day course is a friendly introduction for anyone new to the West Bethel Makerspace woodshop! By the end of the day, participants will have an opportunity to try out and learn the basic function, safety features, and use cases for almost all of our woodshop tools including:
Miter Saw (Chop Saw)
Table Saw
Band Saw
Scroll Saw
Drill Press
Edge and Spindle Sanders
Jointer
Planer
Prerequisites: None
Materials fee: None
What to wear & bring
-Please bring your own lunch
-Closed-toe shoes
-No loose clothing
-Secure long hair
PPE provided - bring your own if you prefer
Earplugs
Eye protection
Dust masks
Gloves - vinyl gloves, nothing thicker for safety reasons
Age Requirements
Members under 18 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult guardian at all times.
Woodshop access and woodshop classes are available to ages 16 and older.
