4-hour class

Prerequisites:

• Intro to Woodshop or Intro Woodshop Clearance

• Wood Cutting 1 or Wood Cutting Clearance

Materials fee: $15 to be paid directly to the instructor.

Course will give practical experience and safety clearance for:

• Router Table

• Hand Router

Wood routers can elevate your work and give you many options for the style and construction of your projects. In this intermediate, hands-on class, you'll learn how to safely operate routers, common applications of these tools, and techniques such as edge profiling, dados, and rabbets. Completion of this class grants access to the router table and hand routers.

What to wear & bring

• Closed-toe shoes

• No loose clothing

• Secure long hair 

PPE provided - bring your own if you prefer

• Earplugs

• Eye protection

• Dust masks

• Gloves - vinyl gloves, nothing thicker for safety reasons
