This introduction to woodworking will instruct students on all of the necessary steps to build a basic woodworking project. At the end of the class, the student will go home with a multi-species wooden cutting board that they have made themselves. The class includes instruction, experience, and testing on all of the non-automated woodworking equipment in our shop. In addition to the tools, students will learn the concepts related to properly preparing, gluing, and finishing a practical and beautiful piece that they’ll be proud of.
Materials fee: $55 to be paid directly to the instructor. Includes rare and beautiful hardwoods.
